A HISTORY OF J & S JETTING
J & S Jetting have been proudly serving the community for over 25 years. We now have a team of engineers and a fleet of specialist vehicles on the road able to support all across East Anglia.
Our founder, John Lehane started the business as a sole trader back in 1999, and spent many years building a reputation as a trusted partner around Cambridgeshire.

1999
J & S Jetting was founded
After a long and successful career in the construction industry, John discovered a particular passion for drainage.
After gaining valuable experience with several local companies, he decided to take the leap and start his own venture.
From day one, John built a strong reputation for reliability, high standards, and honest workmanship, qualities that quickly made him a trusted name in the local community.
2015
J & S BECOMES A LTD COMPANY
After 15 years of steady growth as a sole trader, John took the next big step and registered the business as a Limited Company.
This marked the start of a new era; hiring extra staff, taking on larger contracts, and establishing the company as a professional and dependable drainage service provider.
The incorporation laid the foundation for what would become a family-led success story.
2017
JUSTIN JOINS THE TEAM
John’s eldest son, Justin, became the first of the next generation to join the company. Having grown up around the trade and having worked in drainage and effluent, Justin naturally stepped into the role, quickly providing support to the growing business.
His involvement allowed John to begin taking a step back from day-to-day work, with Justin taking the lead on-site and driving the company forward.
Justin's experience within other industrial sectors also helped the company to expand their service capabilities, providing even more vital services to our valued customers
2019
BRENDAN BRINGS A NEW PERSPECTIVE
Brendan, John's younger son, joined the business after several years in the corporate world, earning a degree in graphic design and computing.
His background introduced a fresh, digital edge to the company, improving systems, streamlining operations, and modernising the way projects were managed.
Together, the brothers balanced traditional values with forward-thinking innovation, helping the company adapt to a fast-changing industry.
2021
John's Retirement
After decades of hard work and dedication, John proudly retired in 2021. By then, he had successfully passed the reins to Justin and Brendan, who both became directors of the company.
His vision, ethics, and craftsmanship continue to guide every part of the business, and his legacy remains at the heart of everything the team does today.
To this day, John still holds a keen interest in the drainage industry keeping up-to-date with new technologies and projects. His wealth of experience and insight also make John a trusted advisor and guru to his sons, keeping his legacy alive.
2022
Taking a risk
Recognising the growing demand for a complete in-house service, the company made a bold move by investing in its first vacuum tanker.
Though it was a second-hand vehicle and a major commitment at the time, the decision quickly proved worthwhile. This marked a major turning point in the direction of J & S Jetting
It allowed the team to take full control of tankering operations and offer customers a more efficient, all-in-one drainage service.
2023
Expanding Our Fleet and Our Future
The success of the initial tanker venture paved the way for another milestone, the purchase of a brand-new top of the range MAN tanker.
This larger, more advanced vehicle came equipped with the latest technology and features, enabling the team to handle even bigger and more complex jobs efficiently.
It symbolised how far the business had come — from a one-man operation to a fully equipped, multi-vehicle fleet.

Today, the company continues to grow while staying true to its founding values of quality, integrity, and reliability.
